Horses really can be fun.
They can be fun when you have a decent saddle to ride on. That was my experience this past weekend with Kristin's family's horses. I still got saddled with (hmmm, no pun intended) the roundest horse in the herd. His name is Raindance and he's really sweet, but he's so round that I ended up stretching my legs. They hurt quite a bit on Sunday and Monday. But, it was all worth it to spend time with my wife up in the mountains doing something that she really enjoys doing. The scenery was gorgeous, too! If only we had taken that ride two weeks ago when the colors were absolutely stunning. Like I mentioned in my last post, when we took the drive over the Alpine Loop, the colors were fairly impressive. If there is one thing I like about fall, it would have to be the spectacular drives that this beautiful state offers.
