Sweeping changes at Microsoft
Why is it that Microsoft can't get seemingly simple things right? First off, I have a Windows 2000 Virtual Machine in VMWare that is having a heck of a time installing any updates. It can download the updates just fine, but installing them is a different story. To top that off, it says that installing the updates failed, but it doesn't say why they failed. And to top that off, the updater will keep trying to install these things even after it just told me that they failed to install.
A huge question that I have is why are Microsoft updates failing to install on a Microsoft system? Shouldn't operating system updates just kind of work? What's the problem?
Anyhow, I think that Microsoft really has some serious issues. Of course, that's not news, especially from me. I can't stand having to run Microsoft operating systems. I'm much happier when I run reasonable and functional operating systems like Linux. Linux doesn't bog me down with all kinds of crap like Windows does. I can also run Linux for weeks at a time without even a mention of a slowdown. Windows can't seem to run properly for a day without dropping the ball somewhere.
Anyway, enough ranting. The world is full of it. Think of something nice and visit the Spring photo galleries at ksl.com.
